I have a masters degree in Tourism and Leisure. I am currenly working on a bachelors degree in English Studies at Vistula Univeristy in Warsaw, Poland. As mysterious as it sounds, it essentially means: - wide knowledge of the history of English-speaking countries, - insightful information into British, American, Australian, Canadian and post-colonial literature, - linguistic background, - experience in translation, - Teaching English as a second/foreign language.
Experience
I am a native Polish speaker, living in the Netherlands. I have been teaching English to adults and children for the academic year (2016/2017). I have been helping students to prepare for Cambridge, Oxford and Trinity exams. I am tutoring in homes, as well as online. During last two years I have lived in 5 different countries, soaking up the culture and the variety of the accents and personalities. Recently, I have been teaching English to students, both personally and for online companies. I have started to get my feet wet when comes to translation and subtitling. Classes with me are usually very casual. I believe in improving language skills not only through textbooks and tests, but also through fun interactive conversations. I provide students with helpful material (gathered from different sources over the years) and focus on their most important needs. Every class I give is customized. I want to get to know my students and create a friendly environment for studying.
